Can I Use American Dollars (USD) When Travelling?

 Most resorts and stores will accept USD, though there may be some exceptions. Most establishments will accept payment by card, but it may be beneficial to carry some cash on hand as a precaution, such as for emergencies or any additional gratuities you may like to provide. 

 We also recommend that you inform your credit and debit card companies of the dates you will be travelling to help avoid any fraud alerts and unnecessary holds on your funds.

 Please note that charges made at the resort or elsewhere on your trip may be subject to a foreign transaction fee by your financial institution (usually calculated at 1-3%).
